Kaka, the AC Milan playmaker, says he is flattered by the interest being shown in him by Manchester City.
The Brazilian says he is "very happy" to be linked with the Premier League club and has admitted speaking to his compatriots Elano and Robinho about life at the City of Manchester Stadium. Kaka, who is expected to play against Portsmouth in the Uefa Cup tonight, also reiterated his desire to play in England before he retires.
“Let’s not big it up too much,” he said. “It’s about three points. It’s feet on the floor time. We can lose and still go through. It’s achievable. Would I take a draw? If they were battering us after 85 minutes, but not at this moment. I think they will play counter-attack, try to lock the game up and hit us on the break.”
"I've been speaking with Robinho and Elano sometimes about Manchester City, but I don't know. I'm very happy that they want to take me from Milan, but I think it is very difficult," he said.
"It is a very tough championship with a lot of big players and a lot of big teams. I think it is the best championship in the world so one day maybe, I don't know when, but it would be great to play in the Premier League. I have a lot of friends that are playing there, so I'm watching some games."
The 2007 Ballon d'Or winner, who joined Milan from Sao Paulo in 2003, has a contract with the Rossoneri until February 2013. When previously linked to a move away from the San Siro, he has spoken of his gratitude to Milan for bringing him to Europe as a 21-year-old, however, Kaka now says that should Milan not live up to his ambitions he would consider a move.
"One day if I have to leave AC Milan it will be because my objectives, my targets, are not the same as AC Milan's targets," he added. "Maybe then it will be time to leave AC Milan. Now I think we are on the same road, so it is very difficult to leave, but I don't know."
Kaka is also excited by the prospect of playing with David Beckham.
"When he comes, he will see what Milan is like and he can maybe stay a little bit more. I don't know, maybe until the end of the season or who knows, for another year?
"I like him, he is very positive. He has a lot of talent with the ball, kicks it well and shoots nicely. It will be very nice to play with him, I'm very happy."
