Barnsley v Stoke City 3pm
Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Martin Devaney, the Barnsley wingers, miss the game
through suspension and injury respectively. Injuries mean that Stoke,
pushing hard again this season for a play-offs spot, are without Stephen
Wright and Dominic Matteo, while Salif Diao is not match-fit.
Burnley v Sheffield Wednesday 3pm
Burnley will be without three midfield players in John Spicer, Joey Gudjonsson
and Chris McCann, who are all suspended. Alan Mahon is unlikely to figure
because of a hamstring injury. Jermaine Johnson is struggling with an ankle
problem but another Wednesday forward, Akpo Sodje, could be available.
Colchester United v Southampton 3pm
Kemal Izzet, the Colchester midfield player, is unlikely to play after
suffering a hand injury on Saturday. Wayne Thomas, the Southampton defender,
is expected to return after recovering from a virus, but Marek Saganowski,
the forward, is the latest addition to a long injury list with a groin
problem.
Coventry City v Crystal Palace 3pm
Kevin Kyle, the Coventry forward, will begin a three-match suspension today
after being sent off for an elbowing incident in the 4-0 defeat by Blackpool
on Saturday so Dele Adebola could be called up. Palace will be without José
Fonte and Paul Ifill. Both are suffering from thigh injuries.
Hull City v Wolverhampton Wanderers 3pm
Dean Windass returns from suspension for Hull. Nick Barmby may also be
restored to the starting lineup, while Jay-Jay Okocha could win a place on
the bench. Jody Craddock, the Wolves defender, has recovered from a groin
problem, but Michael Kightly will again miss out along with Matt Murray and
Graham Stack, the goalkeepers.

Leicester will be without DJ Campbell and Elvis Hammond, while James
Wesolowski, the midfield player, is not match fit after an injury. Ipswich
will be without Sylvain Legwinski in midfield, while Fabian Wilnis will step
in for Luis Castro Sito, the injured defender.
Norwich City v Charlton Athletic 3pm
Luke Chadwick, the midfield player, could feature for Norwich after delaying a
shoulder operation, but Adam Drury (knee) and Matthew Gilks (ankle) remain
on the sidelines. Danny Mills, Charlton’s on-loan defender, is suspended and
they are also without Yassin Moutaouakil, Chris Iwelumo and Lloyd Sam, who
are all injured.
Plymouth Argyle v Queens Park Rangers 3pm
Plymouth have Lilian Nalis, the midfield player, available after suspension,
while Lee Martin has recovered from a hamstring problem. Damion Stewart is
suspended for QPR. Sampsa Timoska (virus) and Michael Mancienne (hamstring)
are doubts, but Martin Rowlands should return to the squad after illness.
Preston North End v Scunthorpe United 3pm
Lewis Neal could be rewarded for scoring the winning goal against Southampton
at the weekend by being handed a starting place in Preston’s lineup. Cliff
Byrne, the defender, may return for Scunthorpe after recovering from a
broken fibula. Kelly Youga is suspended.
Sheffield United v Blackpool 3pm
Chris Morgan, the United captain, could miss out after limping out of last
weekend’s defeat by Cardiff City with an ankle injury. Phil Bardsley is also
doubtful with an arm injury. Keith Southern is still injured for Blackpool,
but Danny Coid and Adrian Forbes are back in the reckoning.
Watford v Cardiff City Noon
Watford, despite having taken one point from their past five home games, are
likely to name an unchanged side. Gareth Williams (knee), Al Bangura (broken
arm) and Jordan Parkes (metatarsal) are out. Cardiff are missing Steve
Thompson (suspended), Robbie Fowler (ankle)and Trevor Sinclair (knee).
West Bromwich Albion v Bristol City 3pm
Ishmael Miller and Kevin Phillips could be fit to start for West Brom after
recovering from knee injuries, but Neil Clement is a few days away from
returning to full fitness. City have Steve Brooker fit after a knee
operation, but are likely to stick with the side that beat Barnsley last
Saturday.
