The FA are considering referee Mike Riley's report into his dismissal of Joe Kinnear, the Newcastle United manager, on Saturday.

The governing body have received Riley's version of events during an eventful conclusion to Newcastle's 2-2 draw with Stoke City, after the 61-year-old was sent to the stands for comments made in the wake of the free-kick from which the visitors scored their injury-time equaliser.

It is not the first time the former Wimbledon manager has come to the FA's attention since his return to the game. He was warned as to his future conduct after his infamous F-word tirade against the Press in early October and was charged with improper conduct - he has until December 12 to respond formally - after branding Martin Atkinson a "Mickey Mouse referee" after the 2-1 defeat by Fulham last month.

Meanwhile, former Roy Keane is due to appear before an FA regulatory commission on December 18. He was also charged with improper conduct for comments made to Atkinson at half-time in his side's 5-0 defeat at Chelsea on November 1.

The Irishman, who resigned from his job at Sunderland last Thursday, requested a personal hearing, although it remains to be seen whether or not he keeps that date.
