The England coach also pleaded with the press not to ask him any more about Rooney's foot as it was now his responsibility to get the forward match fit.
"The good news from yesterday evening and today is Rooney has no more injury," said Eriksson.
"He is injury-free and it is up to us now to get him match fit and when we think he is match fit I am prepared to take him to any specialist we or Manchester United want to take him to.
"I'm prepared to listen to everyone and discuss Rooney with them. But the last say in this story is Rooney's and mine."
Eriksson added: "I'm doing this in the best interests of Rooney, the England team and 40 million England fans. I'm responsible for it and I don't want any more discussions about Rooney until I tell you he is match-fit.
"I don't want my players talking about Wayne Rooney's foot or injury and I hope you respect that."
After last night's hysteria following Rooney's all-clear to rejoin the squad due to his positive visit to hospital, both the Manchester United player and Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool captain, were out with the rest of their team-mates on the training pitch.
While Rooney is definitely out of England's World Cup opener against Paraguay on Saturday, Gerrard had been causing concern with a stiff back.
He had sat out training yesterday and, while Eriksson claimed the injury was not a worry, speculation was beginning to mount over his availability.
But as the sun shone, Gerrard was put through his paces alongside the other 22 players.
Rooney flew back to Germany last night after an anxious day spent in Manchester having a scan on his broken metatarsal. Medics, England and Manchester United officials took hours to discuss the results until they all agreed he was fit enough to participate in the later stages of the tournament.
Some hope that he may be able to play in at least one of the Group B games, most likely the last one, against Sweden on June 20. It is more likely he will be involved in the knockout stages, as long as England reach them.
