Yaya Toure, the Barcelona midfielder, would be happy to join his older brother, Kolo, at Arsenal next season. The 25-year-old was one of the few players, along with Lionel Messi, to enjoy a good season at the Nou Camp in a disappointing campaign.
With Josep Guardiola replacing Frank Rijkaard as Barcelona's coach and a clearout expected, Toure could head for the exit door just a year after moving from Monaco. "I am conscious of interest from certain Premier League clubs," he said. "I can't say anything for the moment, but it's true that it would be great to play for a big club with my brother. That would be fantastic, but you never know."
Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to table a £10 million bid for the Ivory Coast international who had a pre-season trial at Arsenal, but failed to seal a permanent move and joined Olympiacos in 2005 instead.
While Toure would love to link up with his brother he also professed his admiration for Guardiola - a player he models himself on. "We had a very difficult season and it was very hard for us, because we are winners in spirit," Toure said. "We have so many talented players, I can't understand how we are so far from Real Madrid.
"Guardiola was one of my favourite players. He is a leader of the game who plays just in front of the defence and he played football how it should be played. I loved watching him when I was learning my skill."
Emmanuel Adebayor admits he is flattered to be linked with a move in the opposite direction. The Togo striker recently rejected claims he was ready to follow Mathieu Flamini, who has agreed to join AC Milan on a free transfer, out of the Emirates Stadium unless he was handed a new contract.
"It's very flattering for a young Togolese who's only 24 to see that Barcelona or AC Milan are following him," Adebayor said. "But for the moment I'm very happy at Arsenal. We'll see what happens next."

arsenal must spend well this season and yaya toure would be a great replacement for flamini, but would we really get him for 10m.
we also really need to look for a centre back,we need to build from the back
ash, london, uk
yaya must surely come he is the best midfielder so far
BONIFACE, lilongwe, MALAWI
To be candid, next season would be great for Arsenal if Yaya could agree with the move to the Emirate. And I think this would be a replacement for Mathieu Flamini. From Master Peace
OLABODE DENNILSON, Irele, Nigeria
we might finaly replace VIERA
mike, bushey, england
he is strong and can fit into the system of wenger.
francis, aba, nigeria
this gooner here in the states would love to see YaYa in the same midfield with Cesc. He would be a big improvement over Flamini or Silva......while were are at it a raise for Ade, and Cesc..
Marty Price, Oakland, California
If he does come that would be exciting but i feel sorry for Gilberto as he would be left out of the sqaud.
Rodriguez, Baghdad, iraq
I will love yaya toure to come to arsenal he is just brilliant with the ball
Waqar , Rochdale, Manchester
i m in favour of this move because we need a strong midfielder after viera and this guy has every ability to fill the gap.
wonderfully skilled and a natural tendency to go forward make him unique at this position.
