Alexander Hleb, the unsettled Arsenal midfielder, has revealed he is "angered" by reports linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

Reports yesterday, claimed the Belarusian was in talks with Bayern over a return to the Bundesliga, having previously played for VfB Stuttgart. However, Hleb has denied the rumours and has called on the media to cool their interest in his future, with speculation still linking the 27-year-old with a move to Barcelona.

"These reports anger me," he said. "I have not signed for Bayern, Barcelona or any other club for that matter.

Although Hleb denied saying he wanted to leave Arsenal this summer, he did not rule out the possibility of leaving the club.

He added: "So much is being speculated and said, but I just want to have some peace and sit down with my closest friend [and representative] Niki Spilevski to consider my future."

Hleb, who joined Arsenal in 2005, has two more years on his current contract. Although Arsene Wenger would be loathed to lose another midfield player, following the departure of Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer to AC Milan, the £14 million any sale would raise, could prove valuable as Wenger continues to revamp his midfield.
