Radostin Kishishev has become the sixth player to join Leicester City under their new manager, Martin Allen, this summer. The midfield player has signed a two-year deal after leaving Charlton Athletic.

Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Jérémie Aliadière from Arsenal for £1.5 million. The 24-year-old forward is believed to have signed a three-year contract.

Decent bets

Tottenham Hotspur are confident of signing Darren Bent by this weekend after increasing their bid from the £12 million plus turned down by Charlton Athletic. The forward rejected a move to West Ham United last week after the clubs had agreed a deal worth about £17 million. Bent is also wanted by Liverpool. Tottenham will make room for Bent by selling Mido and they may listen to offers for Jermain Defoe. The England forward would probably consider a move only to a top-four team.

Auxerre are close to completing a deal to sell Younes Kabul, the defender, to Tottenham. The French club have told Arsenal to raise their offer for Bakary Sagna, the right back, from £6 million to £6.75 million. Lyons and Newcastle United have expressed an interest.

Arsenal appear close to agreeing a deal with Atlético Madrid for José Antonio Reyes. He is expected to cost about £8 million.

Frédéric Kanouté, the forward, has said that he wants to leave Seville to return to the Barclays Premier League. Lyons and Bolton Wanderers have claimed an interest. Middlesbrough are in talks about signing Gérémi, from Chelsea, four years after the midfield player was on loan at the Riverside Stadium.

Newcastle have increased their offer to Paris Saint-Germain for David Rozehnal to about £2.75 million.

Lee Hendrie, the Aston Villa midfield player, is keen to join Derby County or Sheffield United. Jamie Cureton, the Colchester United forward, would welcome a return to Norwich City.

Macclesfield Town have allowed Paul Ince, their manager, to talk to MK Dons.

Long shots

Everton and Celtic are tracking Yassin Moutaouakil, the 20-year-old Châteauroux defender. Alou Diarra is not keen to join Portsmouth, who are in negotiations with Lyons for the midfield player. Werder Bremen and Manchester City are also interested.

Feyenoord have told Aston Villa that Royston Drenthe is not for sale. The midfield player has been playing for Holland in the European Under-21 Championship.

Fabio Quagliarella claims that Manchester United have increased their offer to about £10million to sign him from Sampdoria. The Italy forward’s sporting rights are co-owned with Udinese. “Manchester United are a big deal and I would gladly join the Premier League,” Quagliarella said.

Barnet have inquired about Ray Parlour, who played for Hull City after being released by Middlesbrough midway through last season.
