Stoke City lost only their second home game of the season. Diego Tristan's free kick secured the victory for West Ham. Tottenham kept up the pressure for a place in the Europa League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over West Brom, who are all but relegated, three games to go and six points from safety. At the JJB Stadium, Bolton were grateful to their goalkeeper, Jussi Jaaskelainen, in the first half for keeping WIgan at bay and it stayed goalless.

All the full-time whistles have gone in the Premier League and Chelsea and Arsenal have secured comfortable victories against Fulham and Portsmouth respectively. Nicolas Anelka gave CHelsea the lead in the first minute but Erik Nevland equalised for Fulham soon afterwards before Florent Malouda restored the lead for the home side withint he first ten minutes of the game. Didier Drogba sealed the game in the second half.

At Fratton Park, a David James error allowed Nicklas Bendtner to open the scoring for a much-changed Arsenal side. The Denmark forward got his second from the penalty spot after Sean Davis was penalised for a foul on Andrey Arshavin, when he looked to have got the ball. Carlos Vela got the third after a spell of pressure from the home side.

At the City of Manchester Stadium, Man City were uinder the cosh against Blackburn but took the lead through Felipe Caicedo. Robinho and Elano, with a penalty, scored in the first half before Keith Andrews reduced the arrears.
