Jose Bosingwa will undergo a scan tomorrow to assess the extent of a thigh injury he picked up during Chelsea's pre-season match against Guangzhou Pharmaceutical in China.

The Portugal international defender was set to have a scan today, but following a delay to Chelsea’s flight between Guangzhou and Macau he will have to wait to see whether he remains with the squad or returns to London.

The 25-year-old right-back, who signed from Porto over the summer, managed only 20 minutes on his debut before being substituted in the 4-0 win. Bosingwa pushed forward from his defensive role on regular occasions during his brief but encouraging debut.
