Valeri Bojinov, the Manchester City forward, is scheduled to make his comeback from a long-term cruciate knee ligament injury for the reserves tomorrow.

The Bulgaria international has not played since August when he suffered ligament damage after challenging for a header with Patrice Evra, the Manchester United defender, six minutes into his first start for the club.

The 21-year-old, who joined City in a £5.75 million move from Fiorentina last summer, has since made a good recovery and is set to appear as a substitute against Liverpool's second string.

"He will take part in that, maybe for the last 20 or 30 minutes," said Sven-Goran Eriksson, the City manager. "It is looking much better for him. He is doing everything in training now."
