Geremi has warned Chelsea that Newcastle United are preparing to ruin their Premier League title dreams.

Chelsea's penultimate match of the season is at St James' Park next Monday and Avram Grant's side need a victory to ensure the title race with Manchester United goes to the last day of the season. But Geremi, who spent four years at Chelsea before moving to Newcastle last summer, says there will be no room for sentiment.

"I'm sorry for Chelsea but that's football," the Cameroon midfielder said. "We are not going to let them come to win. We have to give them a good game and enjoy it.

"It's the last game at home, in front of our fans, against one of the big teams. We've been playing well in the last few weeks and it's a big opportunity to send a message, it's a big test for us to see how far we can go."

Kevin Keegan, the Newcastle manager, has been linked with a move for Richard Dunne, the Manchester City captain. Dunne has another year left on his contract and after failing to agree a new deal and City may be willing to sell the defender rather than risk the 28-year-old moving on a free transfer next year.
