This week Graeme Le Saux comes on the pod to talk about prejudice in football, with a frank account of how he dealt with abuse throughout his career. We look back on a mixed weekend of international football with both Gabriele and Guillem trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel for Spain and France.
After England's succesful win over Israel, we invite veteran journalist Bob Cass to discuss just how much of an effect the press have on the team, and how much better it was in the 70s when Bob could go drinking with Bobby Moore.
Gabriele and Guillem continue the debate on the Game blog - click here to talk to the boys

i second that. The two obviously differ but i don't see anything wrong with this!
Graeme Murray, Liverpool,
Baker and Kelly? Spare me
Birby, London,
i love you guys. You guys are great and it's great that Balague and Marcotti are the frontmen now.
Ali, Surrey, England
To Tim Shallcross,
the competition answer was revealed in the Week 3 Podcast. The missing player was Laurent Blanc.

Domski, London,
Why does the pod updates on itunes always freeze?? The new podcast is clearly available on the times website but not on iTunes. I had this problem at the end of last season when I couldn't download the final Champions league final podcast.
Why is this always a problem? The guardian lot always seem to get theirs up by 5ish on Mondays.. why can't the The Game?
The pod is getting much better by the way - really enjoying it.
Dan, London, Uk
Great to have Lady Ruud back.
Zulfy, london,
I didn't realise that the times and guardian podcasts were mutually exclusive. They are both good so I listen to both - its as simple as that
Nick Sylvester, South Wales,
Sorry guys, listened to the first three and they were pedestrian. Gabrielle has great insight but is not a natural host/front man. This looks like it will go down the path of that radio dinosaur 606. Sorry but I'm off to get Baker and Kelly.
Ivor, Tonbridge,
Loving the Podcast - regardless of who is presenting, its about football and they talk sense a lot of the time. Anyone who disagree's listen to Adrian Durham on Talk Sport and you'll hear somebody who knows nothing about football!
Anyway, has anyone one got any further with the teaser Gab set last week. So far i've got Zenden, Pierre van Hooijdonk, Ronaldo and Dean Saunders....anyone got the last one?
Tim Shallcross, Derby,
Bill, Gabriele, Guillem et al.
Tragic cluster of young footballers dying from heart problems raises the question whether such early onset cardiac issues are more common amongst young footballers (or athletes in general) than in the general population. Are kids training too hard too early and putting too much strain on their hearts before they're fully developed?
Not sure if that is outside your statistical bailiwick, Bill, but I think it could represent an important issue....are our kids the victims of our insatiable appetite for more and bettersport?
Stephen Skaff, St. Louis, USA
Don't people get it, DK is no longer employed by The Times and so cannot return to this podcast. He has a column in the Standard and will also appear in a podcast with Danny Baker. Get over it, he was OK but not on the James Richardson level, DK appeared to try too hired.
More of Rudd please, she sounds very very hot!
I thought Gab was a bit nervous in the first episode but improved vastly since. Guillem is a legend. I've been following you guys since your Talksport days on Monday Night European Footie with Xav and Raphael (haven't listened to that rubbish station since).
Overall, I think it's great that The Times have had the bottle to allow two non-Brits to host the pod based simply on their superior knowledge. Although drop the token ex footballers Mark "Cliche" Bright and Cascasrino are both dull and add nothing. I did find it refreshing how humble Arteta appeared considering that he is so unluck not to be in the Spanish national side and is the best player outside top 4.
Zulfy, london,
Much better this season. Gab & Guill are much more knowlegeable about the game than Spurscentric Kelly. I for one are not missing those 'hilarious' sound effects & chronic singing. As for the Guardian, Jimbo's puns are getting a little tiring & the back slapping is worse than last year. Come on, have a 'freaking' argument! Still listen to both of course as they are still entertaining & FREE
Michael, Durham, UK
i even wrote an email to the sports team asking why they'd let danny kelly go. never got a reply...
George, London,
I don't miss Danny Kelly. I prefer this version, it's a more thoughtful, analytical and interesting show and it's better for it.
I found Gabriele's contributions last year made the difference between an ordinary and a great podcast so I'm pleased he's back and presenting. This is more of a Football podcast; save me the gimmicks and the clownish sound-effects lets hear more about the football matters we're all interested in. The team they've got now, with Bill Edgar and the various guests has the right balance.
Paul , Welwyn Garden City,
Where is the Podcast? It's now Wednesday and I seem to be able to find it. Is it still weekly? Which day does it come out on? Not good. After the success of last season things appear to have gone very wrong at the start of the season.
Martin, Sopot, Poland
I don't miss Kelly, he was a nervous performer always falling over his words.
Glad to hear Rudd not on this week, hope it stays that way!
Joanne, Leeds,
I think some people are being over critical of G and G's presenting abilities. They are just starting out, lets give them a chance! Yes, they work better as regular panellists but I have noticed a definite improvement in the quality of the podcast since the shaky beginnings of the start of the season.. And to be honest, the main thing the Guardian has going for it is Richardson as presenter, the "podstars" they have are nowhere near as insightful or analytical as Marcotti and Balague.. Keep it up lads!
Tim, Limerick, Ireland
Just for those who weren't aware, Danny Kelly will be teaming up with Danny Baker for a series of football podcasts from September - hence his disappearance from The Game.
I personally think Gab is rather good though.
MrBungle, Chester, UK
Hi there team... please keep up the great work
Still loving the pod. Last year I sent a chant in about cesc fabregas which Danny duly read out. That went on to be voted the 2nd best chant of last season on the bbc site. Such is the quality it appears of the chants I send in to you, perhaps Alison could read this next one out? Again it's from the emirates.
To the tune of Let it be "When I find myself in times of trouble, Arsene Wenger talks to me. Speaking words of wisdom. Sell Henry. And when we have our cash from Barca, Arsene wenger comes to me, who will be the answer? Van Persie. Van persie, van persie, van persie, van persie. He will be the answer. Van persie" Genius
gaz, birmingham,
Anyone know the address to subscribe to the podcast without itunes?
Delfino, london,
No more Danny Kelly = much more James Richardson - is as simple as that for me.
Aron, Toronto, Canada
Very disappointed to see Danny Kelly no longer on this podcast - Marcotti seems out of his depth now as the frontman. Having heard the first two shows (including the one with that joke Martin Samuel, even the NOTW was too good a paper for this chancer), it seems The Game have decided to cut out the fun element this season. At least Danny Kelly will soon be back on air with Danny Baker doing a football podcast with the key element being on fun - there's enough humdrum serious football analysis podcasts and radio shows already without the game following suit. Rudd was only mildly amusing while DK played along, now that joke isn't funny anymore... i'll try this week's Game podcast, but without a massive change from the first two, it'll be my last. And if I want to hear Marcotti, he's far better on Talksport!
Matt, Sheffield, UK
Danny Kelly can be found with a new football podcast, back with his natural co-host Danny Baker, starting in September. A preview is available on I-Tunes.
Graeme, Glasgow,
Yeh I definitely miss Danny Kelly, and Marcotti I think he has been restricted in his new role, was glad to hear Mark Bright put him in his place when he started an unnecessary anti-Man Utd rant, but I am a big fan of Marcotti nonetheless.
I am GLAD there is no more Alyson Rudd, but BRING BACK DANNY!!!!!!
Saadaab, London,
Danny Kelly is a professional broadcaster and a good one. But he's gone and I can't say I'm that bothered as the full-time return of Mr Balague makes up for it. It surely depends on what you want. Presentation or ideas and debate - I know that's slightly polarised but if you want intelligent football chat listen on to The Times - although both Liverpool fans in the pod can get a bit overpowering. If you want smug pans and a little less intelligent, but still good, football chat just listen to the guardian. I personally love both and why not?
Pedro Fernandez, London,
Have to agree with the rest it's much poorer without Danny Kelly (even if he was a tad over the top about Spurs at times).
Same with The Game suplliment on Mondays, the one big highlight of which was the two Dannys only to be replaced by the totally rubbish Alan Carr.
Andy, London,
Why has Kelly gone? used to brighten up my monday mornings but now i have james richardson to do that for me instead (twice a week as well!). A big step backwards as the guardian make a step forwards... you only have yourselves to blame! guillem is a legend though!
Ben, Manchester,
I want Alyson Rudd to sing the KOP songs afian and bring back Danny Kelly.
Arslan, NYC, USA
I disagree with the comments referring to bringing Danny Kelly back. Kelly is undeniably an excellent presenter but seriously, give the new team a chance to settle and then we can make comparisons! One note for improvement though; I think that Guillem is guilty of excessive hyperbole in reference to Sven. He said essentially that we should look at Sven's record, with Benfica and Lazio mentioned, that he is 'tactically sound', knows what is required in the Premiership and the accusation of Sven that there were players on the England team who didn't want to be involved in tactics is plain falsity. Why did he keep picking Beckham and playing Gerrard and Lampard together? On Sven's record, look at the circumstances Guillem. At Benfica but especially Lazio, where he had the Cragnotti fortune, he spent his way to success. Who could fail with a team including Nedved, Veron, Crespo, Nesta and Peruzzi? It is too early to be making positive statements on Sven, give it three months...
Tim Newcome, Grimsby, United Kingdom
Danny Kelly is a huge loss. The last show was just dull.
I am a Guardian reader but couldn't decide between the Kelly podcast and the Guardian version last year. This year there is no question which is best. Another week of dull and I'm sad to say I won't be downloading anymore.
Alan, Lima, Peru
I don't know why Danny isn't presenting this podcast now, but to be honest, its very much the poorer for him not doing so: whilst Gabriele Marcotti talks sense, he's not a "natural presenter" / front man in any shape or form, and should not try to be. Perhaps he's a tad cheaper tho' ....
Nevertheless, still listening, but with rather less enjoyment than when Danny was in that chair.
Ian, Fordingbridge, Hampshire
Once again I need to say Mark Chapman should be co-presenting, add a bit more comedy which is lacking without Danny Kelly.
Ben, Oxford,
Sorry guys but Kelly made the difference between this being an excellent must listen to event and a bog standard run of the mill talking shop. Gaurdian unlimited's effort is now the market leader i'm afraid. Bring back Danny I know he eats all the pies but Shirley his wit and joi de vivre more than makes up for thatt, mind I'm sure he eats a lot of pies...
Aidan Cox, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
It's great that Kelly is gone...he adds nothing at all, and speaks loudly over the other guests...not at all funny, and a million miles behind James Richardson on the Guardian podcast,
Having said that, Bill is worth talking over because of his rose-tinted Man Utd glasses..did anyone see his article in The Times, trying to quantify the size of football clubs in the Premier League?
An admirable and laudable effort which was by and large pretty accurate..but one alarming finding was that Chelsea ranked the same on "stadium/support" as Liverpool!
Anyway, glad Kelly is gone, otherwise a decent start
Ian, Romford,
Brilliant. Much, much better with Gab and Guillem as co-hosts.
Steve, Camberley,
Disagree with other commenters - Rudd made some really good points. Podcast is good but sometimes there is too much noise, with people talking over one another. This makes it hard to follow the conversation and hear the points made. However, the interview with Mikel Arteta was an exception, with each person taking their turn to ask questions. Also, as a Liverpool fan, I was disappointed that there wasn't any analysis of the team's play - only stuff about the referee's performance.
Pete, London,
Bring back Danny Kelly.
Erik, Brooklyn, NY
Agree. Rudd is just noise and bad one-sided opinions. Danny Kelly's a big loss but with Gab and Guill and decent guests it should still be the best football podcast around. Let's just hope Rudd isn't a permanent fixture.
Carl, Sydney,
First in. I was all excited after last weeks podcast only to see this evening that Rudd is back. And such thought provoking topics as are WAGs unfairly treated. Christ on a bike. Whats next? Hot Big Brother chat. Haven't listened to it yet though.
Frankie, Dublin,
