For our penultimate podcast of the season, Phill Jupitus is joined by Gabriele Marcotti, Nick Szczepanik and George Caulkin to discuss:
- Newcastle United's relegation. Caulkin reviews the club's many terrible decisions since Bobby Robson's departure as manager. The future is bleak, Caulkin says, none of the existing players can be counted on to win promotion, the wage bill is enormous and, as fans of Leeds and Norwich City will know, relegation from the Premier League can be a slippery slope.
- Middlesbrough. With a young squad, a fruitful academy and a loyal chairman should have a brighter future than their regional rivals and fellow relegation victims at St James' Park.
- Sunderland, the North East side with the most to smile about. Not only did they avoid the drop but Ellis Short will be investing in the club to make them in, the words of chairman Niall Quinn, "relegation proof".
- The Champions League final. Wednesday's match is between the best two teams from the best two leagues in the world and features two of the world's best players. What's not to like, the team ask?
