Phil Mickelson is back up to third ahead of Adam Scott after sharing third place with Poulter. South African Charl Schwartzel improves from 57th to 40th with his Spanish Open victory.

Darren Clarke, who missed his fourth successive cut in Madrid, is down to 75th, but he gets into the Players field from his 125th place finish on the US Tour last season.
