Nick Faldo sent out his Ryder Cup team for the final practice session today - and the lead pairings were those he unwittingly allowed to be caught on camera yesterday.
Sergio Garcia was with Lee Westwood and they played with Padraig Harrington and Robert Karlsson, making it odds-on that they would be playing together in tomorrow’s opening foursomes.
Henrik Stenson had Paul Casey as his partner and Miguel Angel Jimenez teed off with rookie Graeme McDowell.
In the final group Ian Poulter and Justin Rose were together again and Oliver Wilson was alongside Soren Hansen. They were possibly the quartet who would sit out the first session and then come in for the afternoon fourballs.
If that is the case then McDowell would be the only newcomer thrust straight into the action - and controversial wild-card pick Poulter would be the only capped player watching from the sidelines when battle commences.
Faldo had tried to laugh off his slip-up yesterday, suggesting the sheet featuring the pairings was the players’ “sandwich list” before having to confess that he had been caught out.
