It's sad to think that the only two British WRC Champions have died before their time. He was a hero to me growing up. He was someone who just had natural talent for anything with four wheels and an engine. The world of motorsport will be a sadder place without him.
Peter Taylor, Bristol, England
Not only a superior driving talent, but most importantly a great person. He will be missed.
Stanley, Valletta, Malta
a tragedy for the world of motorsport. He was an ambassador for his sport in so many ways, especially for any youngest wishing to follow in his footsteps - I will remember him for his driving excellence. My thoughts go out to his wife and daughter at this very sad time.
