TODAY sees the launch of the 2007 Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards, and we want you to choose the winners.

You can vote for your favourite by filling in the form published here or by visiting www.timesonline.co.uk/sportswomen . Now in their 20th year, our awards recognise leading sportswomen and unsung heroes alike.

You can vote in the following categories: Team of the Year, Unsung Hero Award, PE Teacher of the Year, Young Sportswoman of the Year, Champions Award, University Sporting Achievement of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year and The Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration. Please provide as much detail as possible (use a a separate sheet of paper if necessary) to tell us why your nominee deserves recognition. Don’t forget to tell us the sport they are involved with, special achievements over the past year, and the name and location of the school if you are voting for PE Teacher of the Year. Incomplete nominations and those without contact details will be invalid.

The deadline is midday on Tuesday, October 9. The awards will be presented at a lunch at Lord’s on Tuesday, November 20.
