1 JOHN DALY The 1995 Open champion, arrested for being drunk and disorderly two months ago, recorded a 78 in the first round of the Australian Open on Thursday, venting his frustration by ripping a camera from spectator Brad Clegg and smashing it on a tree. Clegg considered retaliating but noted: ‘He’s a big guy’
2 ERIC CANTONA Seething after being sent off at Crystal Palace in 1995, Manchester United’s captain headed for the dressing room but in-your-face abuse from a Palace fan saw the Frenchman launch a kung-fu kick at the fan’s chest. Cantona was fined £20,000 and suspended for nine months

4 TREVOR BRENNAN The Ulsterman was playing for Toulouse against his home province in a 2007 Heineken Cup game when, thinking that he heard someone in the crowd abuse his mother, he jumped into the stands and attacked Ulster fan Patrick Bamford.
