Attend a special evening hosted by Mike Atherton

1635BST: Big day for Phillips Idowu and for Team GB tomorrow. Idowu goes in the triple jump qualifying at 3am tomorrow morning. He's one of Britain's leading hopes for gold in the Bird's Nest stadium. Team GB may be storming to success in sailing and cycling among others, but the track and field athletes have a long way to go to replicate such success.
1628BST: In high jump news, Britain have three jumpers(?) through to the final - Germaine Mason, Tom Parsons and Martyn Bernard. However, the hockey team will struggle to qualify after a 1-1 draw with Canada. They need to hammer Australia on Tuesday and hope the Netherlands lose heavily to Pakistan. The Britain showjumping team are fourth going into tomorrow's final.
1615BST: Bakele's fellow Ethiopian, Sileshi Sihine, takes second place with Kogo, of Kenya, in third. Gebreselassie finishes sixth.
1612BST: Bakele takes it. As expected, he sprints the last lap, increasing his lead with every pace - absolute class. He retains his title and remains unbeaten over 10,000 metres. The Eritreans were nowhere. Sometimes the best laid plans...
1610BST: It looks like the gameplan of Kidane Tadesse, of Eritrea, has failed. Bekele is still there. Tadesse's team-mates are long gone. Two laps left. Masai, of Kenya, leads.
1609BST: Micah Kogo, of Kenya, leads. Gebreselassie and Bekele are in the leading group eight. Bekele's got to be fancying himself here.
1605BST: The leading group is splitting for the first time in the race. Gebreselassie is there. If he's got any chance, he needs to make a move early doors, otherwise the younger athletes, Bakele in particular, will simply outpace him towards the end.
1603BST: Gebreselassie has taken the lead. He runs on the track a lot less these days, but he still can't resist the banter of the 10,000 metres.
1557BST: Zersenay Tadese, the leading Eritrean, is still holding out for Bekel to tire, but he's still there. Teklemariam Medhin, one of the Eritrean pace-setters, is out in front, but can't push on enough - he looks shattered. Your money has to be on Bekele to retain his title, even with 4,500 metres to go.
1554BST: The Eritreans are trying to push the pace of the race, forcing Bekel to tire. He seems to be managing fine to us, though. He's sitting in fourth, like all great distant runners, looking comfortable. He waits, that what he does.
1547BST: It's a big field, 39 runners. It looks a little ridiculous, a huge group of athletes jostling for position early on. Bekele's in third, Gebreselassie's in fifth.
1544BST: The great man, Haile Gebreselassie, from Ethiopia, goes in the 10,000 metres final in a few minutes. His compartiot, Kenenisa Bekele, holds the world record and is the reigning champion as well as the overwhelming favourite for this race. Moses Masai, of Kenya, should also figure.
