Lara Lewington, 27, can be seen every weekday presenting the weather on Five.

Lewington, who lives in Kensington, west London, with her boyfriend Martin, also interviews celebrities for the channel.

She has also appeared on shows such as Celebrities Exposed on ITV and Channel 4’s The 11 O’clock Show.

Born in Chichester, West Sussex, Lewington moved to Richmond in southwest London at 15 and started in television at 17. Since then she has worked for both the BBC and ITN.

She has a degree in sociology and drama from Surrey University and is also a trained journalist.

How much money do you have in your wallet?

I probably have about £3.50 on me at the moment. I’m not very organised in terms of getting money out of the cash machine, so I rarely have more than a bit of change for parking meters.

Do you have any credit cards?

Yes, I’m more of a cards person really. I tend to use my Egg Money card, which I pay off each month, for almost everything because I get 1 per cent cashback on my spending.

I have a debit card as well, but I can actually make money by using my Egg card so that definitely gets the most use.

Are you a saver or a spender?

I would say that I’m a bit of a mixture. I have a direct debit set up between my current and savings accounts to make sure that I put some cash aside every month, but I also enjoy spending.

That said, I buy most of my clothes from shops such as Primark and H&M, so I wouldn’t say I’m terribly extravagant. I love a bargain — in fact I’m known for it.
