Leicester v Newcastle Falcons, 1.30pm
This should be a pushover for Leicester. Flu-hit Newcastle are eleventh and have not won at Welford Road for 11 years. Rory Clegg, the fly half, and Adam Balding, the flanker, have been laid low but Newcastle have recalled Tim Visser, the wing, and Rob Miller, who replaces Clegg, from their loan to Tynedale.

London Wasps v Saracens, 2.15pm
Wasps have won three in a row but lost their past three Premiership home games. Danny Cipriani replaces Dave Walder at fly half and Lachlan Mitchell comes in full back after Mark van Gisbergen got a knock in Sunday’s defeat of Edinburgh. Glen Jackson and Andy Farrell are back for Saracens, who have not beaten Wasps away in the league since 1997.

Bath v Sale Sharks, 2.45pm, Sky Sports 3
Sale are one place behind Bath in fourth, having scored only seven tries in their six wins. Sale, reeling from their defeat away to Montauban a week ago, recall Dwayne Peel, at scrum half, and Jason White, at flanker. Bath change four of the XV that beat Glasgow on Sunday.

London Irish v Gloucester, 3pm
Greg Somerville, the former New Zealand prop, makes his first start and Premiership debut for Gloucester, who start Gareth Cooper at scrum half for the first time since September. Irish bring back their big guns, bar Nick Kennedy, the injured lock.

Northampton v Harlequins, 3pm
After back-to-back defeats of Stade Français, Harlequins are in the form to end Northampton’s unbeaten home record. Harlequins hand Andy Gomarsall a start in place of the rested Danny Care at scrum half.

Worcester Warriors v Bristol, 3pm
Chris Latham, the former Australia full back, is among those restored by Worcester after being rested in the European Challenge Cup, so Eoghan Hickey, on loan from London Irish, moves to fly half. Bottom-placed Bristol have Jason Hobson back at prop, but Joe El Abd is out with a biceps injury. Shaun Perry takes over as captain.
