2 for 1 at Pizza Express

Were you surprised by how hard Andy Murray was made to work for his victory today?
Michael Llodra is a very tricky opponent.
Very few players play that way these days, his method is a bit like Paul Annacone of old, chip and charge at anything you possibly can and hope that you sew enough seeds of doubt into the opposition that they start to miss. And for a while Murray did, certainly that second set was over before he had time to pause for breath.
It was important that Murray stopped that particular rot from developing and he did. It was tough at the start of the third but he got that one under control and I think given the circumstances and the way that Llodra played I thought it was a good performance from Murray. He did what he had to do and all things being considered, the pressure, he handled the match reasonably well.
Murray plays Jurgen Melzer in the next round, how do you see that match going?
He had a very tough first round match and a very good win ,beating Feliciano Lopez, but he appeared to stroll today. I spoke to him yesterday and of course he's looking forward to his match with Murray, but also a potential rematch in the Davis Cup when Britain play Austria a few weeks after the Open. He's a strong, a typical Austrian player, he doesn't give anything way, he's tough, rugged plays an attacking game, not quite as attacking as Llodra, but he has the ability to make life uncomfortable for Murray.
Has anyone else caught your eye in the men's draw?
Stanislas Warwinka, the Swiss who won doubles gold with Roger Federer in Beijing, and he's a man who is clearly in pretty decent nick and Mardy Fish has reached the third round of the US Open at the eighth time of asking and now plays James Blake so that's got Centre Court written all over it.
And who should we be looking out for on the women's side?
Well. having reached the final of the French Open, Dinara Safina has started off extremely well and now plays a Swiss girl Timea Bacsinszky that could be a good match. Venus Williams had little trouble beating a qualifier from Paraguay 6-0, 6-3 - it was over before you could blink.
But one person who could pose Williams problems is Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland who is one of those who just cause an upset.
