4.04pm: Nadal 3 - Murray 6 (Murray wins two sets to one, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3) And with a flourish, Murray uses the second of his three championship points to secure the match. The winner and the runner-up embrace, and many St Andrew's flags are waved in the stadium. The television people try to speak to Rafa Nadal while he is signing some autographs, and he just says, "Hello!" and beams. Obviously he then goes on to congratulate Murray. When it's Murray's turn to do the media duties, he says that he feels tired after all the running, but thought it was a great match. Everyone cheers him. And that is that.
4.02pm: Nadal 3 - Murray 5 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) The crowd are invigorated after that, and Murray's trademark fist-pump emerges as he lures Nadal into net returns. Murray is now one game away from beating both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in the same event for the very first time.
3.56pm: Nadal 3 - Murray 4 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) This game's been going on for two and a half hours now, and while Nadal is finally warmed up, Murray is eking out a resurgence from his drained reserves of energy. They're playing shots without looking, from between their legs, standing on one foot...and Murray takes it to break-point. A powerful rally gives both opportunities for the point, but Nadal takes it with some exacting placement that Murray simply can't move quickly enough to meet. Deuce, and then advantage Nadal, who has to stop prior to serving to adjust the tongues of his trainers back to their approved position. Murray makes it back to deuce with a return measured at 138kph, but hands his opponent the advantage with a wide flail down the tramline. And then it's back to deuce as Nadal tries a backwards overhead shot that almost decapitates a ball-boy. He takes advantage again, then reverts to deuce, before giving Murray the advantage with a slam into the net. Murray's second break-point gives him the game as Nadal's cross-court shot lands inches out.
3.44pm: Nadal 3 - Murray 3 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) Fleet footwork and acrobatics from both players, but eventually Murray holds again.
3.38pm: Nadal 3 - Murray 2 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) Some better serving from Nadal means he sidles into the lead again, and this third set looks like it's heading for a tie-break.
3.35pm: Nadal 2 - Murray 2 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) Murray looks exhausted and is urging the crowd to get behind him in an effort to energise his play.
3.23pm: Nadal 2 - Murray 1 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) Narrowly-fought stuff. Murray's still using that drop-shot to great effect, and Nadal's rocket serve hasn't turned up at courtside just yet. He decides to try a drop-shot too, delicately edging it over beyond Murray's despairing reach. He kicks on from there and holds.
3.17pm: Nadal 1 - Murray 1 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) And Murray holds his too.
3.14pm: Nadal 1 - Murray 0 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4, second set Nadal 7-5) Nadal holds his serve, biting back from 30-0 down to take the game.
3.07pm: Nadal 7 - Murray 5 (one set all, first set Murray 6-4) Nadal is fired up and takes a 30-0 lead on Murray's service, before pinging a crazy drop-shot back to him and allowing him to peg it back to 30-15. A short rally ends with Murray failing to reach the net, and Nadal has two set points, and he duly capitalises, forcing Murray to hit long.
3.02pm: Nadal 6 - Murray 5 (Murray leads one set to love, 6-4) Nadal holds, and now it's up to Andy Murray to force a tie-break.
2.58pm: Nadal 5 - Murray 5 (Murray leads one set to love, 6-4) Two aces help Murray along to his first love service game of the match.
