8.55pm: A British win to report in the women's doubles. Laura Robson and Georgie Stoop are through after taking the decisive third set tie-break 13-11. Hurrah! Before you get too carried away with home success, it must be mentioned that their opponents, Jade Curtis and Anna Smith, were Brits as well. That's the way to help GB players progress to the next round - draw them against each other then one is bound to get through.
8.50pm: Crisis over for Dementieva, as she rattles off games in quick succession to take the second set and the match of the crumbling Rezai, 6-3. No shock for the No11 seed in the men's singles either, as Cilic beats Querry in five eminently-watchable sets, 4-6, 7-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-4.
8.26pm: Interesting goings-on on No2 Court, where Elena Dementieva, the No4 seed, has coasted through the first set 6-1 against Aravane Rezai, only to quickly fall a break down in the second. It's currently 3-1 to the Frenchwoman, so we'll keep a careful eye on that one.
8.18pm: We've got a five-setter on our hands on Centre Court as Querrey pinches the fourth set off Cilic on the tie-break to level things up. Speaking of which, Larcher de Brito's opening set with Schiavone has also gone to a breaker, which the Italian takes.
7.50pm: Is that a jet going by? Time for the earplugs - Michelle Larcher de Brito is out on court 14 up against Francesca Schiavone of Italy.
7.45pm: Cilic has been turning the screw on Centre Court but Querrey isn't giving up without a fight, wasting one break point but taking the second to drag himself back into the match at 2-2 in the fourth.
7.30pm: Another immense player, the 6ft 10in Ivan Karlovic looks poised to make it into the third round, cruising at two sets up against Steve Darcic.
7.20pm: Laura Robson's match on No 1 Court is proving to be entertaining, with Smith and Curtis taking the second set 6-3. Going with serve in the final set at 2-2.
7.16pm: In the battle of the big boys on Centre Court, Cilic has upped his work rate by..ooh..about 150 per cent and looks like he might overpower Querrey, winning the third set 6-3.
7.12pm: Serena Williams says that she is currently writing a pilot for American television. "It's a mixture of some of my favourite shows, like Desperate Housewives and Sex and the City, and actually Family Guy. It's kind of those put together in one, if you can imagine," she gushed. Yes, we can and it sounds terrible.
7.05pm: Unsurpisingly Cavaday and O'Brien have capitulated 6-4 6-3 to Mariya Koryttseva and Tatiana Poutchek, while Jamie Murray and his partner Jonathan Erlich are also finding things tough and are a set down to Kubot and Marach.
7.00pm: Paul Annacone, pondering the parlous state of British tennis, is mystified by Alex Bogdanovic's lack of success. "If you got any of the tennis experts around the world to go and watch Alex hit a ball for an hour, they would agree there are very few people better than him," the American coach, said, "So that begs the question, 'What's the problem?' What indeed...
