Since March 2006, we have asked for your most envy-inducing holiday snaps for our daily slideshows, with The Sunday Times selecting the best to be published in the following weekend's paper.

It's been a hoot, with images flooding in from all over Britain - anything from a man going tribal with dyed cow fat on his head, to a woman being carted off by an elephant's trunk. We've published hundreds of your pictures in that time.

But we were curious to know which county is the most self-satisfied of them all, the one whose residents have sent in most images of themselves on their travels.The smuggest, in fact, who think their travel photos truly take the biscuit.

And here they are. Counting down all this week, we'll unveil Britain's smuggest county on Friday.
