The trend for all-business-class services shows no signs of abating after Singapore Airlines announced it was to launch premium-only services from Singapore to both Los Angeles and New York.
The airline said this week it would convert five long-range Airbus A340-500s to hold just 100 of its new business class seats, the same as on its A380 and Boeing 777-300ER services.
The 30-inch wide seats will be arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration giving all passengers access to the aisle.
The new services will start in May on the New York route and in September to Los Angeles.
