The reality

We say: I love the N97's interactive homepage widgets, being able to see my latest emails, Facebook status updates and local weather all in one place. All I need now is an all-I-can-eat mobile data plan.

The bottom line

£499 SIM free from the Nokia shop

The verdict

Stunning. Nokia has had some good devices in the past few years but the N97 is a class apart. This is a real alternative to the iPhone.
