The touch screen kiosks allow guests to choose their suite and receive the room key. At check-out time, the kiosk can provide a print-out of the bill and allows guests to change their method of payment, if so desired. In addition, the kiosks can be used to check in on any of 18 US airlines, select a seat and receive a boarding pass.
"By expanding our kiosks to each hotel and enabling airline boarding pass printing, we are offering our guests more choices, convenience and control when it comes to their hotel stay," says Jim Holthouser of Embassy Suites. "With the time constraints on travellers these days, we believe that expanding the capabilities of our kiosks will allow travellers more time to focus on more enjoyable ways to spend their time, rather than waiting in line at the airport."
The all-suite chain has hotels in the US, Canada and Latin America. New hotels open soon at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida, in Mexico City and at Detroit airport.
