Do you stay in UK hotels?

I try to avoid them. The car is so comfortable and I can usually get home to my bed, which I prefer.

How do you travel abroad?

I have a private yacht, which is based in the south of France and I do quite a bit of business on that.

What about when you need to travel quickly?

I go British Airways business class out of habit, on short haul trips. Heathrow is easily accessible and I have used the Heathrow Express from Paddington, even though I have a driver, because sometimes you need to beat the traffic.

If I’m going long-haul, I will go BA, Singapore Airlines or Emirates. Those three airlines tick the boxes for quality, service and reliability.

I like Virgin Atlantic Upper Class and I think it is pretty good but I don’t use it as much because their routes are more restrictive.

On long haul trips, half the time I’ll go business class and the other half I’ll go first class.

What do you do on flights?

I’m one of those who usually has a glass of water and goes to sleep.

I gave up drink a few years ago and haven’t had one since. I was never a heavy drinker but I used to like a glass of wine with a meal, but I’ve stopped that.
