The best skyline views

Bernard: Top of the Rock - you get to see Central Park - and the Empire State Building for that matter

NickYC: The bar at the top of Met is not super lofty but has great parkline views.

Emma: Top of the Rock before the Empire State - it also has a really lovely exhibition.

Jonathan: Top of the Rock is actually great. And you'll find access to be much easier than the Empire State Building. (i.e. fewer lines)

Guest:Top of the Rock do a special priced ticket so you can go up twice in the morning and in the evening ($30)

Where to eat

Fran: Zabar's W90th and Broadway: the best deli supermarket in NY?

NCain: For breakfast/brunch Balthazar and Norma's seem to be the favourites

NickYC: Love City Bakery (3W18th St) for breakfast/brunch - porridge is just the ticket for this time of year - in fact you can't get me out of there once seated.

Paige: Another good deli place is Russ and Daughters. It's right by Katz's and known for its smoked fish, bagels, etc.
