While I remain an ardent cynic of these treatments, MediSpa has a stronger pitch than most - whether it's picture success stories or the therapists themselves, whose toned bodies are the best advert for the machines (they can use them when they're not with clients), it's among the best London spas for slimming and toning treatments.

Every treatment starts with a consultation, so what you get is tailor-made to you, whether it's Smart Lipo, Vaser, Spa RF or one of the other treatments. Just be prepared to bank roll it - quick fixes don't come cheap.

The treatments are more clinical than pampering, so don't expect candles and a warm fuzzy feeling when you leave, but you might just leave with the body you want, or some way towards that... The caveat? Diet and exercise are recommended alongside the treatments for the best results... so much for skirting the gym.
