I agree...i went to both Summercase in Madrid and Benicassim. Summercase was absolutely awesome, well organised and the music was fantastic. I live in Madrid so was only a short Metro/bus ride away...perfect warm up for Benicassim.

Do not , I repeat do not, go to teh Belgium music fest called Dour Festival in June. Great line ups just terrible organisation and facilities.
I went last year, still have nightmares, lives up to its name.

Can anyone advise me where to stay cheap in Petrcane or Punta Skala for the Garden Festival in July. There are 3 or 4 of us. Thanks
Nicky!

Benicassim in Spain?... The best festival this season is Summercase with the most relevant acts this year... July the 13th and 14th in Madrid and Barcelona. Two nights and two cities swaping the same acts, including Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, Flaming Lips, Scissor Sisters, PJ Harvey, Editors, The View, etc... Ah! And the icing on the cake: a free Bjork concert on the grounds of the Royal Palace of Segovia on July the 15th if your choosen city is Madrid.
Pellitero, London, UK
The Garden Festival is the one for us also.....
Like one big family with the likes of Scruff-Luke Unabomber-Soil and Pimp Sessions-Quantic-The Faith lot etc etc....

Zadar here we come.....

Sziget, Hungary --> "sziget" means island, the festival is on an island in the middle of Budapest, so it's double fun: 1. you've got a whole week to enjoy the probably longest summer party in Europe + 2. you can discover the wonderful capital of Hungary...
Enjoy!! :)

We're off The Garden Festival in Croatia (www.thegardenfestival2007.com) again this year - boutique festival in Zadar on the Adriatic coast in Dalmatia. Tickets only 30 quid for 3 days of fun in the perfect location....and then we're carrying on to The Exit Festival in Serbia. Shouldn't be missed but its not for the masses as only 2000 tickets I believe.
