Out in the cold

A hotel in the German town of Norden has started charging guests by the kilo. “Healthy guests live longer and come back more often,” said Juergen Heckrodt, owner of the Ostfriesland Hotel. Even so, the heaviest guests won’t be charged more than ¤39 (£27) a night.
