Adventure or beach holidays?

I’m more of a kick-back-and-relax kind of gal, because I do all my adventures at work. I lost a stone while presenting the World Records show because of all the trampolining, water-skiing, abseiling . . .

So you must need regular beach breaks?

You can never have enough! I have had two already this year, to St Lucia and Spain.

Ever had any holiday disasters?

I booked a holiday to Barbados over the phone, then got to the airport and there was no record of it. I went to St Lucia instead.

Worst holiday memory?

When I was little we went on holiday to France just after my birthday. I got a little handbag and £35 for my birthday. I thought I was so grown up and then I lost it on the train. I was devastated.

Favourite childhood holiday?

Bangladesh, to see my family.

Ever had any holiday romances?

You should meet your boyfriend in winter. In summer they have tans, spots have cleared up, bad dress sense is covered up because they just wear T-shirts and shorts.

Top three holiday packing tips?

Steal the shower caps from hotels, because they're handy to wrap shampoo bottles in. Steal the sewing kit, too, then if your necklace breaks you can sew it together.

First class or economy?

Economy or business. But not too much first class or I'll never go back to economy.

Embrace local cuisine?

I had Fallopian tubes in Vietnam. Ugh.
