My favourite walk… A great afternoon or full day on the Malverns, a ridge with great views. In addition, Welsh, English countries to the west and east respectively. There is great access to Great Malvern or Malvern link by train from Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, Bristol or even London. James, Bristol
My favourite walk…A footnote to the Kingussie walk - the “parallel roads” on the hillsides at each side of Lock Gynack are a very noble feature-but best seen from the Western end of the Loch. A S Noble, Newtonmore, Inverness-shire
My favourite walk… One of the most stunning walks has to be the Pembrokeshire Coast National park, 186 miles long, which can be enjoyed in shorter treks over many years. Inland is the Landsker trail along the historic Knights Way, passing Castel Coch now owned by BlustoneWales. Pamela, Narbeth, Wales
My favourite walk… As a forester and having lived and worked in South Africa all my life, I took time on one of my holidays to the UK to walk a section of the Cornwall coast path. This was back in July 1992. Starting at St Ives, I spent five days walking around the Lands End Peninsula to Penzance. I shall never forget the striking difference between the North and South coasts, temperature wise, geologically and botanically, a walk I would recommend to anyone. Dave, Knysna, South Africa
My favourite walk… Bosherton Lilponds to Stackpole quay in Pembrokeshire. The best walk in the world! You should start with a gentle meander around, and across the lily ponds coming out onto Broad Haven south beach…then head up the coast path over the cliffs until you come down to the jewel of a beach that is Barfundel…then a steep climb up some steps and across the cliffs and down a Stockpole quay which is a sweet little harbour, and the boathouse tearooms for a well deserved rest, the walk should take around two hours. Hannah, Melbourne, Australia
My favourite walk… the Cotswold Way through Gloucestershire, It has just been made a national trail. Travel Mickey, Gloucestershire, UK
My favourite walk…Upper Swaledale is pretty good, but if you want to enjoy your own company, visit Arkengarthdale.Chris, Richmond, North Yorkshire, England
My favourite walk… walking between the sea and the rolling hills, on the coast in Dorset between Charmouth and the Sea town, is one of the best. The walk goes up and over Golden cap, the highest point on the south coast. At every point on the way there are glorious views East and West along the coast and inland. The anchor at Seatown, overlooking the bay, or either of the thatched pubs in Chideock, The George, or the Clockhouse, are also great places to end this great walk! Diana Faunce, Tonbridge, England
