2 for 1 at Pizza Express

We finished a cruise in Buenos Aires last year and found it a fabulous city, so we are going back in November. Not cruising this time, but we'd like to spend three nights at the wonderful Alvear Palace Hotel, with 10 days more to tour the country. Where would you suggest we go, with the Iguazu Falls a must? Alan Dobkin, by email
Sunday Times travel expert, Richard Green, responds: Who wouldn't want to revisit stylish and sexy Buenos Aires? And if you haven't seen anything of the rest of Argentina, you're in for a real treat.
Its wildly contrasting landscapes are packed with spectacular natural wonders, but the catch is that they are spread over a vast land that is 11 times bigger than Britain. Some good planning is vital.
Three nights at the elegant Alvear Palace Hotel in Buenos Aires is the perfect start for your trip. After that, head south a couple of hours by car and spend a couple of nights in Gaucho country, deep in the Pampas flatlands at the family owned Dos Talas Estancia.
Then fly south to Patagonia for three nights at the luxurious chalet-style Posada Los Alamos, where you'll visit the magnificent Perito Moreno glacier, and take a boat close to the 180 feet high wall of ice. Then overnight in the thrillingly remote Estancia Cristina, which overlooks the snout of the Upsala Glacier, South America's largest at 500 square miles.
And finally, no trip to Argentina is complete without seeing the amazing Iguazu Falls, so fly back north for three nights at a the Das Cataratas hotel. The falls are higher than Niagara and wider than Victoria, and the Cataratas has inspiring views of the cascades.
