My daughter and I would love to visit Namibia, taking in the main sights of the Skeleton Coast, Sossusvlei and Swakopmund. She has visited Africa several times, but I am less confident and would prefer an escorted tour that is not too strenuous - perhaps a mixture of camping and lodges - and which won't break the bank. The northern adventure camping safari visits Etosha, Damaraland, the Skeleton Coast and Swakopmund or you can opt for the southern swing safari, which visits Fish River Canyon, Orange River, Lüderitz and Sossusvlei dunes.

For an extra £275 you can combine both trips. Departures are from February 1 to March 13 and April 1 to June 30 and the price includes all flights, transfers, accommodation and most meals. A camp assistant helps with cooking and washing-up and guests are expected to erect and dismantle their own dome tent, but that is as strenuous as it gets.
